Our AGM is our opportunity for Grit City Co-op members to have a say on how our business is run as well as finding out about the progress we have made over the past year and the work we have undertaken for our local community.
Come enjoy a wonderful meal with your fellow members of the Grit City Co-op, and we will share the progress the Co-op has made, record your vision for the future, and celebrate together.
One very important part of the evening will be the vote for new Board Members!
For the past month, artists from all over Tacoma have been submitting their most creative, most Tacoma, most foody designs for the new logo of the Grit City Co-op.
Stop by Red Elm anytime on July 21st between 1 and 3 to see the three finalists' designs, and vote for your fave!
If you want to submit a design, just check out gritcitycoop.com for details, and get in your design before July 14th!
Grit City Co-op is all about providing resources to the groups that make up this community. Founded in late 2010, by long-time organizer Dean Jackson, Hilltop Urban Gardens is a community-based urban agriculture, justice, and equity organization in Tacoma, WA. HUG partners with the community to grow healthy food, young people and neighbors. We seek to inspire our community to live with abundance while understanding and interrupting the root causes of economic poverty & wealth accumulation and systems of oppression. We believe growing our own food independence is an important strategy in this process.
